Gigi Berry is the Pin Queen. The Button Boss. The Accessory Witch. If you’ve been any spot in the Twin Cities where stylish people are expressing themselves through what they wear, you’ve seen and admired her work.
Born and raised in Georgia, Gigi moved to Minneapolis in 2011 for a job at Best Buy. While recovering from major surgery in 2016, she dove deeper into her lifelong love of collecting pins, and started making her own pins in honor of Prince. People wanted them, she made more, and this grew into the business she has today.
A one-woman operation, Gigi is always learning and expanding her business. Quarantine was an opportunity for her to learn to work with resin, and she’ll have new pieces available soon. You can find Gigi out and about at events like the Flip Phone Drag Brunch, where she presides as resident merch guru or volunteering with Still Kickin, whose warehouse and retail operations she now heads up.
She’s also active on social media—she won City Pages Best Tweeter in 2016 and, let’s be honest, should really have won at least a second time since then. You can tell she didn’t write this bio because it would’ve been a whole lot funnier.
